Chilotean loom woolen workshop
Shop the CollectionFrom Quellón, Chiloé, every garment is born from the traditional Chilote loom.
Virgin sheep wool, dyed with southern herbs, hand-embroidered by María Ruth.
Each piece is one of a kind — you carry a piece of Isla Grande with you.
The Craft
The Chilote loom is an ancestral technique brought by Spanish settlers to the Chiloé archipelago. At Ayenantú, we keep that tradition alive using wooden looms to weave every garment from scratch.
The wool comes directly from sheep raised on Isla Grande. We dye it with native plants — maqui, tepú, quilineja — which give unique and unrepeatable colors.
Every piece is finished with hand embroidery: flowers, birds, and Chilote motifs that make each garment a work of art.
